NADRA Jobs 2026 | Deputy Director & Assistant Director (Database Security)

Under the provisions of Regulation 9, 10, and 11 of NADRA Employees (Service) Regulations, 2002, the National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA) is seeking highly skilled, experienced, and dedicated cybersecurity professionals. These key positions within the database security wing are based at the NADRA Headquarters in Islamabad.

Available Positions & Detailed Criteria

1. Deputy Director (Database Security)

• Maximum Age Limit: 44 Years (5 years' age relaxation is already included)

• Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelors (4 Years) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Information Security, or an equivalent degree from an HEC recognized university. (Degrees must be attested by HEC).

  • Masters in a relevant subject will be preferred.

• Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of technical hands-on experience in administration, management, and security of databases such as Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL, etc.

  • Proven experience regarding Database Security requirements and Database Analytics using database activity monitoring (DAM) tools.

  • Preferred Certifications: Oracle Database Admin, IBM Guardium Admin, Imperva Admin, Oracle Database Security Administration, SQL, or equivalent.

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop plans and assess database security requirements for each application; apply monitoring and protection solutions.

  • Install, configure, and setup Guardium appliances for database activity monitoring and protection.

  • Handle planning, design, and implementation of Database Auditing, Guardium Appliance Sizing, User Management, Alert/Report Definitions, and Guardium Life Cycle Management.

  • Generate vulnerability assessment reports for timely patching and resolution by DBAs and system administrators.

  • Monitor databases using Guardium health investigation dashboards and troubleshoot specific incidents with IBM support.

  • Monitor user behavior, identify risks through active threat analytics, and ensure proper backup, disaster recovery, and cloud/on-premises cybersecurity controls.

2. Assistant Director (Database Security)

• Maximum Age Limit: 37 Years (5 years' age relaxation is already included)

• Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelors (4 Years) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Information Security, or Electrical / Electronics Engineering with relevant IS certifications or equivalent in a related field from an HEC recognized university. (Degrees must be attested by HEC).

• Professional Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience in a reputable organization across Database Administration, Database Security, or Database Analytics using DAM or SIEM tools.

  • Preferred Certifications: Certifications or badges in any DAM product or equivalent.

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, configuration, and setup of Guardium appliances for database activity monitoring and protection.

  • Install Guardium agents on database servers with necessary configurations for log collection.

  • Manage timely patching of Guardium appliances, license renewals, and monitor incidents through IBM Guardium tools.

  • Perform data discovery and classification with stakeholders to prioritize security solutions and audit privileged user activities.

  • Apply scripting and automated robotic process reporting.

  • Maintain backup, disaster recovery, data protection, and cloud/on-premises database security controls.
