Job Summary

DafaGate is seeking an experienced, highly skilled Senior Backend Developer (PHP - Laravel) to join our engineering team on-site in 6th of October City. In this role, you will act as a core Software Engineer, taking ownership of our server-side architecture and building scalable web applications. Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Backend Engineering: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient PHP backend code using the Laravel framework following industry best practices.

• Architecture Design: Design, implement, and maintain scalable client-side and server-side software architectures.

• Database Management: Develop, optimize, and manage well-functioning databases, ensuring efficient data storage and query performance.

• API Development: Design and build effective, secure RESTful APIs utilizing best practices for seamless frontend integration.

• Legacy Modernization: Refactor legacy codebases and apply modern software architecture patterns (such as MVC and repository patterns).

• Testing & Optimization: Test software applications to ensure maximum responsiveness, speed, efficiency, and cross-browser compatibility.

• Security & Protection: Configure advanced security and data protection settings to safeguard applications against vulnerabilities.

• UI/UX Collaboration: Build features and components with a mobile-responsive design mindset to support front-end workflows.

• Technical Documentation: Write clear, structured technical documentation for code, system workflows, and API endpoints.

• Troubleshooting: Debug, troubleshoot, and upgrade existing software to ensure continuous deployment and system stability.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: 4 to 6 years of professional experience as a PHP Developer, Backend Engineer, or Web Developer.

• Technical Expertise: In-depth, practical knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, and advanced features of the Laravel PHP Framework.

• Backend & DB Skills: Strong expertise in SQL schema design (MySQL/PostgreSQL), query optimization, and data modeling.

• Development Principles: Solid understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean architecture.

• Authentication & Security: Proven experience in REST API design, including secure implementations of OAuth 2.0 for authentication and authorization.
